Refer to the guidelines below to understand what is considered excess wear. If you think the vehicle you are returning may have excess wear charges, a complimentary pre-inspection is the most accurate way to determine billable excess wear and arrange for necessary repairs. Windshield

Cracks, stars, chips, or pits on the windshield (and other vehicle glass) that are not within guidelines, including a non-OEM windshield, will be subject to charges.

Note that Original Equipment Manufacturer windshield replacements are often covered by most insurance policies. Don’t forget to check your policy if you need to replace your windshield.

Body and Paint

Please consult your Bentley dealer regarding repair if your vehicle has dents or scratches larger than a credit card. Damage resulting in paint removal can be subject to charge, regardless of size or number of occurrences¹.

Tires

Measure each tire at the shallowest tread depth. Tires with less than 1/8-inch (4/32-inch) tread depth, mismatched tires (size, brand, model, and speed rating), snow tires, exposed cords, plugs, cut or flat tires, tire bulges, and tires that are not equivalent in quality and performance to the original tires are subject to replacement charge.

Wheels

Wheels should have no cracks or structural damage. Scratches larger than a credit card should be refinished, and missing or non-manufacturer wheels are not acceptable. Two-piece wheels with scratches require replacement.

Interior

Damage to interior surfaces including cracks, tears, cuts, burn holes, stains, or water damage to seats, dashboard, door panels or carpets must be replaced or repaired to factory specification.
